Story-led content for home, garden, craft and lifestyle brands.
I’m Helen, a lifestyle content creator helping home, garden and lifestyle brands tell their stories through warm, story-led films and photography.
Many people know me through Whitewood & Linen, where I’ve spent years inspiring a community of more than 53,500 people through calm storytelling and beautifully observed everyday moments.
Filmed in my home, garden and creative studio in Sussex, my work celebrates simple rituals, seasonal living and the products that quietly become part of them. Whether it’s the first cup of tea of the day, a favourite book, fresh flowers on the table or a peaceful afternoon of creativity, I create films and photography that invite people to slow down, connect and imagine those moments as their own.
With years of experience building an engaged online community, I combine a calm, considered aesthetic with an instinct for visual storytelling to produce work that feels natural, builds trust and helps brands connect meaningfully with their audience through both organic social content and paid advertising.
I believe the most powerful stories don’t interrupt people’s lives. They become part of them. That’s why every film and photograph I create is designed to feel timeless, genuine and quietly memorable, allowing your products to become a natural part of the story.
Six short films that showcase my storytelling style.
Originally created for my Whitewood & Linen audience, each film demonstrates the calm, thoughtful approach I bring to every project. From natural light and carefully observed details to gentle pacing and authentic moments, they’re designed to draw people into the story.
Now imagine your product becoming part of it.
This one has been watched 461,000 times and brought 7,505 new followers with it. Old buttons, a length of cord and an afternoon.
This is me. If we work together, this is the face and voice your customers will meet.
Slow stitching is the craft I'm best known for, and the one I teach. Layers of old fabric, simple stitches, and no hurry at all..
Saved 5,856 times, one save for every 32 people who watched.
Fabric, scissors and scraps worth keeping. My tutorials are built around materials, which makes them a natural home for the right product.
From this spring: 137,000 views in its first ninety days. The audience is still growing, and still watching.
My audience
Almost all of my audience are women: 98%, and three quarters are over 55. A third are in America and a quarter in Britain. They read their emails, they finish tutorials, and when they buy, nine times out of ten they pay full price. It’s an audience many brands find hard to reach through creators, and it’s the one I talk to every day.
NOTE: three of the films above are Christmas makes. My audience starts saving Christmas tutorials in the summer, so if you’re planning Autumn and Christmas campaigns now, that’s the work they share most.
